Brazilian beauty Morena Baccarin graces the cover of Latina Magazines November 2014 issue and we have exclusive quotes from her cover interview!

In the new issue (which hits newsstands today), the Emmy-nominated actress (Homeland, Firefly) opens up to Latina about getting pregnant with her son Julius, who turns 1 in less than a week.

We started trying and actually got pregnant on the first try, Morena tells the magazine. I thought, damn it, I’m not even going to take a moment to get into this idea that I’m actually going to try and have a baby. It was just like, boom! We just went for it and were both shocked and spent nine months recovering and then he was here, she says.

Baccarin, who has been married to her husband Austin Chick for three years (they dated for another 12!), tells the magazine that she admires and appreciates her significant other. I strive to be better at what I do for a living and who I am as a mother because of him. He inspires me, she says.

And while Austin is clearly the right guy for her, Morena also tells the magazine that she dated a lot of crappy guys before finding Mr. Right.

You have to get the losers out of the way, Baccarin says. You have to go through that phase where you have to date all the crappy dudes you can date. I don’t know what it is… it’s like a right of passage. I tell so many of my girlfriends, I know where you’re at right now, she says.
