Do you love famous Latina moms as much as we do? Then youll definitely want to get to know Dev the Mexican and Portuguese singer, whose new EP Bittersweet July dropped on Sept. 23 (were BEYOND obsessed with the catchy Honey Dip on the EP!)!

The hot new artist took some time out of her busy schedule to talk to EXCLUSIVLee.com about the most important thing in her life: her adorable daughter, Emilia!

And when we asked Dev if there are any Latin traditions she hopes to pass onto her daughter, the singer replied, Tequila and tamale night during the holidays (when shes old enough to drink, of course) and learning to make my dads homemade pozole!

The singer added that having traditions goes hand in hand with being Latina.

Being family oriented and even my Catholicism as a young woman those things all make me proud to be a Latina, she said. Im pretty liberal and modern, obviously, but I feel like those traditions are held very close to my heart. Holidays, big meals, Menudo on Sundays things like that.

But while Dev says shes proud of her culture, she admits she doesnt speak Espanol. My mom is fluent in Portuguese and my dad is in Spanish, but neither of them in each others language so I didnt learn too much of either language, Dev said. Only little words here and there.

Still, shes hoping her daughter Emilia will be a different story! We do teach Emilia some of both languages and shes been speaking back, which is so cute! she says. Que linda!
